ABOUT

My style of massage / bodywork is helpful for the various discomforts caused by tension

  • Stiff & sore joints

  • Tight muscles

  • Tension headache

  • Limited range-of-motion

  • Referred pain

Muscles are part of a network of fascia and other connective tissues, within which tightness can accumulate. Tension can be chronic or acute in origin, sometimes spanning an entire muscle group and other times it will concentrate in a small area. As far as musculature is concerned, it’s all connected (by the connective tissue network). That’s the reason why aches&pains can start at a particular point and then migrate and intensify as we continue aggravating movements or postures.

Undoing tightness via massage therapy is inherently stress-relieving, and many people even find the process to be relaxing. Keep in mind just how easy it is for tension to build up from the rigors of day-to-day life, and stay on top of aches&pains before the muscles contract back. Massage makes a great addition to a tension-relieving self-care routine.

After attending the Cortiva Institute in 2015, I worked for 9 years at a family-owned deep-tissue therapeutic massage studio in Holliston, Massachusetts. In 2024, I moved to Burlington to be closer to family and start my own business.

I’m influenced by Japanese, Thai, Chinese, and Swedish traditions, as well as therapeutic techniques including trigger/pressure points, myofascial release, pin&stretch, and traction.
